O Level Economics
The O Level Economics syllabus cover the following topics: Basic Economic Problem, The Allocation of Resources, Individual as Producer, Consumer and Borrower, Private Firm as Producer and Employer, Role of Government in an Economy, Economic Indicators, Developed & Developing Economies and International Aspects. For O Level Economics, students have to complete two papers – Paper 1 and 2.
Paper 1 – Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
For Paper 1, students have to complete 30 MCQs within 45 minutes. Every question will have four choices, in which one of them is correct. Paper 1 carry 30% of the overall grade.
Paper 2 – Structured Questions
For Paper 2, students have to answer one compulsory case study question set and select 3 essay questions out of 6 to write within 2 hours 15minutes. The case study question carry 30 marks and every essay question carry 20 marks. Paper 2 carry 70% of the overall grade.
